New infections top 2,430 as 5 more deaths reported

There are now 26,299 active cases, of which 25,024 or 95.2% are undergoing home quarantine.

Another 2,431 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,811,327.

There were 1,820 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,748,732.

There are now 26,299 active cases, of which 25,024 or 95.2% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, seven (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,206 (4.6%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 62 are in ICU with 40 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 62.0%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 16.9%.

Another five deaths were reported, including two who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,296.
