Daily caseload drops to 1,990 as 4 more deaths logged

There are now 27,370 active cases, of which 26,007 or 95.0% are undergoing home quarantine.

Another 1,990 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,801,653.

There were 2,016 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,738,009.

There are now 27,370 active cases, of which 26,007 or 95.0% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, nine (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,287 (4.7%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 67 are in ICU with 46 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 58.6%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 18.3%.

Four more deaths were reported, taking total deaths to 36,274.
