New infections fall to 1,900 as another 2 deaths reported

There are now 28,961 active cases, of which 27,584 or 95.2% are undergoing home quarantine.

Another 1,904 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,791,456.

There were 3,138 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,726,250.

There are now 28,961 active cases, of which 27,584 or 95.2% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 18 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,286 (4.4%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 73 are in ICU with 36 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 63.4%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 19.6%.

Two more deaths were reported, taking total deaths to 36,245.
