New infections at 2,300 again as death toll up by 9

There are now 31,164 active cases, of which 29,761 or 95.5% are undergoing home quarantine.

Another 2,328 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,787,308.

There were 2,618 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,719,910.

There are now 31,164 active cases, of which 29,761 or 95.5% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 19 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,305 (4.2%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 79 are in ICU with 44 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 63.9%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 21.2%.

Another nine deaths were reported, including three who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,234.
