New infections top 3,500 as another 15 deaths logged

Another 3,516 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,744,929.

There were 2,541 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,667,111.

There are now 41,701 active cases, of which 40,034 or 96.0% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 41 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,534 (3.7%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 92 are in ICU with 49 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 62.6%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 24.7%.

Another 15 deaths were reported, including four who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,117.
