Daily caseload at 3,400 as 9 more deaths reported

Another 3,429 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,741,413.

There were 4,882 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,664,570.

There are now 40,741 active cases, of which 39,062 or 95.9% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 32 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,563 (3.8%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 84 are in ICU with 58 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 64.3%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 22.6%.

Another nine deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,102.
