Daily caseload just over 3,000 as another 5 deaths logged

Another 3,045 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,735,547.

There were 4,226 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,656,031.

There are now 43,431 active cases, of which 41,759 or 96.2% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 33 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,567 (3.6%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 72 are in ICU with 46 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 62.5%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 19.5%.

Five more deaths were reported, taking total deaths to 36,085.
