New infections at just over 3,000 as 12 more deaths logged

There are now 42,717 active cases, of which 41,042 or 96.1% are undergoing home quarantine.

Another 3,083 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,714,498.

There were 4,229 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,635,737.

There are now 42,717 active cases, of which 41,042 or 96.1% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 35 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,578 (3.7%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 62 are in ICU with 35 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 66.3%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 16.5%.

Another 12 deaths were reported, including three who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,044.
