Daily caseload at 2,800 as 6 more deaths reported

Another 2,863 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,711,415.

There were 4,752 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,631,508.

There are now 43,875 active cases, of which 41,996 or 95.7% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 34 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,790 (4.1%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 55 are in ICU with 38 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 62.7%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 14.6%.

Another six deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,032.
