New infections fall to 2,700 as death toll up by 6

There are now 45,770 active cases, of which 44,159 or 96.5% are undergoing home quarantine.

Another 2,728 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,708,552.

There were 3,856 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,626,756.

There are now 45,770 active cases, of which 44,159 or 96.5% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 30 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,529 (3.3%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 52 are in ICU with 36 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 62.8%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 13.8%.

Six more deaths were reported, taking total deaths to 36,026.
