Daily caseload dips to 4,400 as 8 more deaths logged

There are now 47,534 active cases, of which 45,928 or 96.6% are undergoing home quarantine.

Another 4,413 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,697,213.

There were 3,394 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,613,676.

There are now 47,534 active cases, of which 45,928 or 96.6% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 23 (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,531 (3.2%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 52 are in ICU with 32 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 63.5%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 13.8%.

Another eight deaths were reported, including four who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,003.
