Daily caseload crosses 4,200 as death toll up by 8

There are now 44,278 active cases, of which 42,661 or 96.3% are undergoing home quarantine.

Another 4,204 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,687,470.

There were 4,582 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,607,207.

There are now 44,278 active cases, of which 42,661 or 96.3% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 24 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,537 (3.5%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 56 are in ICU with 36 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 63.5%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 14.9%.

Another eight deaths were reported, including two who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,985.
