Daily caseload drops to 2,700 as 9 more deaths logged

A total of 54 are in ICU with 32 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 2,783 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,680,053.

There were 4,482 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,598,778.

There are now 45,306 active cases, of which 43,753 or 96.6% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 22 (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,477 (3.3%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 54 are in ICU with 32 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 64.1%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 14.5%.

Another nine deaths were reported, including four who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,969.
