Daily caseload tops 3,900 as 8 more deaths reported

Another 3,902 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,629,963.

There were 2,935 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,550,949.

There are now 43,144 active cases, of which 41,488 or 96.2% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 33 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,568 (3.6%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 55 are in ICU with 39 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 62.9%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 13.2%.

Another eight deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,870.
