Daily caseload just below 4,000 as 9 more deaths logged

Another 3,934 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,604,670.

There were 2,747 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,531,948.

There are now 36,894 active cases, of which 35,547 or 96.3% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 26 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,268 (3.4%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 53 are in ICUs with 30 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 60.6%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 12.9%.

Another nine deaths were reported, including two who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,828.
