Daily caseload dips below 2,800 as 8 more deaths reported

There are now 35,323 active cases, of which 34,107 or 96.6% are undergoing home quarantine.

Another 2,799 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,592,710.

There were 2,666 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,521,578.

There are now 35,323 active cases, of which 34,107 or 96.6% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 19 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,156 (3.3%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 41 are in ICU with 26 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 60.7%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 10.0%.

Eight more deaths were reported, taking total deaths to 35,809.
