Daily cases hover at 2,500 as 5 more deaths logged

Another 2,536 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,573,891.

There were 3,123 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,508,322.

There are now 29,793 active cases, of which 28,508 or 95.7% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 19 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,221 (4.1%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 45 are in ICU with 26 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 61.1%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 10.1%.

Five more deaths were reported, taking total deaths to 35,776.
