New infections top 2,000 as 4 more deaths logged

Another 2,025 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,560,583.

There were 2,367 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,497,078.

There are now 27,747 active cases, of which 26,541 or 95.7% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 14 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,155 (4.2%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 37 are in ICU with 19 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 63.1%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 8.5%.

Another four deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,758.
