New infections dip to 2,000 as one more death logged

Another 2,003 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,556,664.

There were 1,861 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,492,767.

There are now 28,151 active cases, of which 27,025 or 96.0% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 13 (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,082 (3.8%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 31 are in ICU with 19 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 61.5%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 7.1%.

One more death was reported, taking total deaths to 35,746.
