Daily caseload tops 2,400 as another 4 deaths logged

Another 2,425 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,547,051.

There were 1,550 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,484,284.

There are now 27,026 active cases, of which 25,972 or 96.1% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, four (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,020 (3.8%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 30 are in ICU with 16 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 59.9%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 6.9%.

Another four deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,741.
