New infections drop to 1,900 as 2 more deaths reported

Another 1,921 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,544,626.

There were 1,716 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,482,734.

There are now 26,155 active cases, of which 25,059 or 95.8% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 15 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,052 (4.0%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 29 are in ICU with 20 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 62.1%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 6.7%.

Two more deaths were reported, taking total deaths to 35,737.
