New infections top 2,100 as one more death logged

Another 2,130 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,536,795.

There were 1,080 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,475,438.

There are now 25,626 active cases, of which 24,585 or 95.9% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 13 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while XX (XX%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 35 are in ICU with 19 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 60.7%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 8.0%.

One more death was reported, taking total deaths to 35,731.
