Daily caseload dips again to 1,500 as one more death reported

Another 1,571 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,526,298.

There were 1,887 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,468,191.

There are now 22,395 active cases, of which 21,375 or 95.4% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 18 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 976 (4.4%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 26 are in ICU with 15 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 59.9%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 5.9%.

One more death was reported, taking total deaths to 35,712.
