New infections pass 1,800 as 3 more deaths logged

Another 1,887 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,520,852.

There were 1,399 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,463,070.

There are now 22,074 active cases, of which 21,074 or 95.5% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 21 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 954 (4.3%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 25 are in ICU with 17 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 59.3%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 5.5%.

Another three deaths were reported, including two who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,708.
