New infections stay at 1,800 as one more death logged

Another 1,844 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,512,040.

There were 2,005 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,453,313.

There are now 23,046 active cases, of which 22,033 or 95.6% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 25 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 961 (4.2%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 27 are in ICU with 17 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 55.9%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 5.9%.

Another death was reported, taking total deaths to 35,681.
