New infections at 1,800 as another 2 deaths logged

Another 1,809 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,508,319.

There were 1,911 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,449,593.

There are now 23,048 active cases, of which 22,052 or 95.7% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 25 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 945 (4.1%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 26 are in ICU with 16 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 60.0%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 5.6%.

Another two deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,678.
