Daily caseload tops 1,400 as 7 more deaths reported

Another 1,451 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,506,510.

There were 2,071 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,447,682.

There are now 23,152 active cases, of which 22,160 or 95.7% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 19 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 945 (4.1%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 28 are in ICU with 15 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 60.3%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 5.9%.

Another seven deaths were reported, including three who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,676.
