New infections at 1,300 as another 4 deaths logged

Another 1,325 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,505,059.

There were 1,935 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,445,611.

There are now 23,779 active cases, of which 22,778 or 95.8% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 15 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 954 (4.0%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 32 are in ICU with 15 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 55.6%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 6.7%.

Another four deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,669.
