New infections drop to 1,800 as another 3 deaths logged

Another 1,845 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,499,057.

There were 1,825 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,438,212.

There are now 25,189 active cases, of which 24,089 or 95.6% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 17 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,056 (4.2%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 27 are in ICU with 18 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 56.0%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 5.6%.

Another three deaths were reported. Total deaths now stand at 35,656.
