Daily caseload drops to 1,500 as 2 more deaths reported

Another 1,544 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,492,864.

There were 2,905 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,432,071.

There are now 25,148 active cases, of which 24,009 or 95.5% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 22 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,078 (4.3%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 39 are in ICU with 25 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 60.7%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 7.1%.

Another two deaths were reported. Total deaths now stand at 35,645.
