New infections dip to 1,800 as another 2 deaths logged

Another 1,817 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,491,320.

There were 3,389 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,429,166.

There are now 26,511 active cases, of which 25,366 or 95.7% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 18 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,087 (4.1%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 40 are in ICU with 23 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 60.3%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 7.2%.

Another two deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,643.
