Daily caseload crosses 2,100 as 3 more deaths reported

Another 2,124 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,485,419.

There were 2,303 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,419,997.

There are now 29,789 active cases, of which 28,569 or 95.9% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 20 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,165 (3.9%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 35 are in ICU with 22 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 56.8%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 6.0%.

Another three deaths were reported, including two who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,633.
