Daily caseload down to 3,000 as 5 more deaths reported

Another 3,029 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,473,500.

There were 1,116 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,409,159.

There are now 28,734 active cases, of which 27,358 or 95.2% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 23 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,311 (4.6%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 42 are in ICU with 33 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 55.3%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 6.5%.

Another five deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,607.
