Daily caseload tops 3,300 as 8 more deaths reported

Another 3,321 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,467,061.

There were 1,416 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,406,613.

There are now 24,850 active cases, of which 23,385 or 94.1% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 33 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,373 (5.5%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 59 are in ICU with 34 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 55.0%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 8.0%.

Another eight deaths were reported, including three who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,598.
