Daily caseload tops 2,200 as 1 death reported

Another 2,246 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,461,135.

There were 2,433 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,403,183.

There are now 22,368 active cases, of which 21,230 or 94.9% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, four (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,065 (4.8%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 69 are in ICU with 39 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 55.1%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 9.3%.

One more death was reported. Total deaths now stand at 35,584.
