New infections cross 2,100 as another 4 deaths logged

There were 2,869 recoveries, pushing the total number of active cases down to 22,556.

Another 2,153 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,458,889.

There were 2,869 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,400,750.

There are now 22,556 active cases, of which 21,363 or 94.7% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 30 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,075 (4.8%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 88 are in ICU with 59 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 54.7%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 11.9%.

Another four deaths were reported, including three who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,583.
