Daily caseload tops 1,200 as 2 more deaths reported

Another 1,278 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,454,113.

There were 2,599 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,391,090.

There are now 27,454 active cases, of which 26,407 or 96.2% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 17 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 964 (3.5%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 66 are in ICU with 36 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 55.0%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 8.9%.

Another two deaths were reported. Total deaths now stand at 35,569.
