Daily caseload tumbles to 1,500 as 3 more deaths logged

There were 5,839 recoveries, pushing the number of active cases down to 41,167.

Another 1,503 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,449,507.

There were 5,839 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,372,790.

There are now 41,167 active cases, of which 39,995 or 97.2% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 29 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,074 (2.6%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 69 are in ICU with 45 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 52.3%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 9.3%.

Another three deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,550.
