Daily caseload hovers at 3,400 as 6 more deaths logged

Another 3,471 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,440,383.

There were 6,900 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,346,421.

There are now 58,436 active cases, of which 56,776 or 97.2% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 61 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,501 (2.6%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 98 are in ICU with 63 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 53.7%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 13.0%.

Another six deaths were reported, including four who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,526.
