Nearly 20% of children fully jabbed, 42% given first dose

More than 70 million vaccine shots have been administered since the start of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.

A total of 705,864 children or 19.9% of those aged five to 11 had been fully vaccinated under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids) as of yesterday.

According to the CovidNow website, a total of 1,488,811 children or 42% have received at least one dose of vaccine.

For adolescents aged 12 to 17, a total of 2,886,817 or 92.8% have completed their vaccination while 2,986,324 or 96% have received at least one dose of vaccine.

As for adults, a total of 16,009,979 individuals or 68% have received a booster shot while 22,964,189 or 97.6% have completed their vaccination.

A total of 23,241,082 or 98.8% have received at least one dose.

A total of 52,712 doses were dispensed yesterday, comprising 11,918 first doses, 11,918 second shots and 2,820 booster jabs.

This brings the cumulative number of vaccine doses administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 70,070,020.
