Daily caseload tops 6,300 as another 12 deaths reported

Recoveries continue to outstrip new infections at 9,111.

Another 6,342 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,421,443.

There were 9,111 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,300,558.

There are now 85,403 active cases, of which 83,528 or 97.8% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 127 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,657 (1.9%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 91 are in ICU with 91 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 52.9%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 12.0%.

Another 12 deaths were reported, including two who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,482.
