Daily caseload tops 7,100 as 16 more deaths logged

Active cases have fallen below 100,000.

Another 7,140 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,396,165.

There were 14,423 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,264,127.

There are now 96,601 active cases, of which 93,901 or 97.2% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 282 (0.3%) are at quarantine centres while 2,308 (2.4%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 110 are in ICU with 68 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 52.5%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 14.5%.

Another 16 deaths were reported, including four who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,437.
