Daily caseload hovers at 9,700 as another 12 deaths logged

Another 9,705 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,382,402.

There were 14,346 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,238,471.

There are now 108,522 active cases, of which 105,745 or 97.4% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 375 (0.3%) are at quarantine centres while 2,268 (2.1%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 134 are in ICU with 81 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 52.3%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 15.6%.

Another 12 deaths were reported, including six who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,409.
