New cases top 10,000 again as 22 more deaths reported

Another 10,052 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,352,611.

There were 15,893 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,196,656.

There are now 120,592 active cases, of which 117,465 or 97.4% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 367 (0.3%) are at quarantine centres while 2,599 (2.2%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 161 are in ICU with 99 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 52.2%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 18.7%.

Another 22 deaths were reported, including six who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,363.
