6.5% of children fully vaxxed, 38.7% given first jab

Some 67.8% of adults have received a booster shot while 92.1% of teenagers are fully vaccinated.

A total of 1,374,520 children or 38.7% of those aged five to 11 had received at least one dose of vaccine under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids) as of yesterday.

According to the CovidNow website, 229,615 children or 6.5% have been fully vaccinated.

For teenagers aged 12 to 17, a total of 2,865,407 or 92.1% have completed their vaccination while 2,967,575 or 95.4% have received at least one dose.

In terms of the adult population, 15,950,859 individuals or 67.8% have received a booster shot while 22,959,339 or 97.6% have completed their second dose.

A total of 23,236,086 or 98.8% have received at least one jab.

Yesterday, 47,622 vaccine doses were administered, comprising 34,384 second doses, 7,639 booster jabs and 5,599 first shots.

This brings the cumulative number of doses given under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) so far to 69,370,702.
