Daily cases drop to 14,600 as 56 more deaths logged

Another 14,692 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,234,087.

There were 20,383 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 3,997,786.

There are now 201,232 active cases, of which 196,491 or 97.6% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 555 (0.3%) are at quarantine centres while 3,925 (2.0%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 261 are in ICU with 153 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 56.8%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 29.7%.

Another 56 deaths were reported, including 11 who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,069.
