37.3% of children given first jab, 67% of adults boosted

A total of 1,323,892 children or 37.3% of those aged five to 11 had received a first dose of Covid-19 vaccine under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids) as of yesterday.

According to the CovidNow website, a total of 2,851,056 teenagers or 91.6% of those aged 12 to 17 have been fully vaccinated.

Meanwhile, 2,947,622 or 94.7% have received at least one dose of vaccine.

A total of 15,758,429 individuals or 67% of the adult population have received a Covid-19 booster dose while 22,952,209 or 97.6% have completed their vaccination.

A total of 23,228,125 individuals or 98.8% have received at least one dose of vaccine.

Yesterday, a total of 51,867 vaccine doses were administered, with 4,949 as first doses, 1,438 as second shots and 45,480 as booster jabs.

This brings the cumulative number of vaccine doses given under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 68,849,462.
