Daily caseload tumbles to 13,300 as another 54 deaths logged

Another 13,336 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,152,203.

There were 25,552 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 3,896,489.

There are now 220,872 active cases, of which 214,723 or 97.2% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 873 (0.4%) are at quarantine centres while 4,988 (2.3%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 288 are in ICU with 185 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 56.6%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 32.8%.

Another 54 deaths were reported, including 16 who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 34,842.
