New cases drop to 21,800 as another 52 deaths reported

ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 57.2%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 33.0%.

Another 21,839 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,101,081.

There are now 247,065 active cases, of which 239,798 or 97.1% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 1,266 (0.5%) are at quarantine centres while 5,710 (2.3%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 291 are in ICU with 188 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 57.2%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 33.0%.

Another 52 deaths were reported, including 15 who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 34,717.
