New cases top 22,400 as 65 more deaths reported

A total of 332 are in ICU with 189 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 22,491 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,054,926.

There were 26,234 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 3,771,463.

There are now 248,863 active cases, of which 241,114 or 96.9% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, 1,366 (0.5%) are at quarantine centres while 6,051 (2.4%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 332 are in ICU with 189 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 59.6%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 37.6%.

Another 65 deaths were reported, including 15 who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 34,600.
